So I've been noticing a lot of rust under the powder coat of my trailer last couple of years and nor the center of the cross members Ive noticed holes making it look weak to the point I dont feel safe towing it. So I'm looking for a good used trailer. I missed an opportunity for a seadoo tandem trailer that would have been perfect. I've found a 2005 shorelandR with equiload bunks that looks in good shape. Says its 18ft long total length. Would this trailer with my Utopia 205 with net wt 2330lbs?

Thanks

Any kind of painted trailer that gets used in salt water will be short lived. Paint molecules are quite large compared to salt molecules.
The salt can penetrate the paint and do its damage unseen until it's too late. Stickers are the same as paint. Galvanized is better, but still has issues. Preferred is the aluminum I-beam trailer. Open construction so no water gets trapped.

A trailer for an 18 ft. boat will probably be too short for your 20.5 long boat. The typical problem on a too-short trailer will cause a hook in the bottom of the boat. Even worse with an outboard.
