Need instructions on how to remove oil pump gear from a 787 engine

Need instructions on how to remove oil pump gear from a 787 engine.

There is no gear. The 787 oil pump is direct driven off the front of the crankshaft with a short plastic shaft.

Remove the screws and give it a soft tap, then pull out the plastic shaft.

Info on the oil pump gear on a 787 engine

Do i just leave the gear in the engine and install my blockoff plate will it be ok to run it that way? Thanks for the help
