I'm new here to the forum, and new to the entire SeaDoo Sport Boats. I purchased a use 2000 Speedster 5690 last weekend, and well this weekend, we were going to see how skiing and wakeboarding went behind the boat. As soon as we pulled the ski post out, I guess it came all the way out and now it won't go back in. It sticks out from the hole about 2 feet. When I remove it and look down the shaft, I see a little pin that prevents it from going back down but it hits and stops me from retracting the post. I've tried turning clockwise and counter clockwise but it's not working for me. Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the seadoo forum ibanez386. If you open the hood and follow the pole down you will see the clip. You need to pull the clip out to insert the pole. The clip is suppose to keep the pole from fallen into the shaft while towing someone.
