Need advice

I have two 96 hx's. the shock boot under the seats are rotten and allowing water to enter the hull. This is especially true when re- boarding in deep water. My daughter nearly sunk one last summer. I cannot find the replacement boots. I did however see that the boots for a 97 xp are available. Does anyone know if they are the same?

Click parts above, find the part for your 96HX click add to cart, the SeaDoo part no. will come up. Do the same for a 97XP and get the part no., see if they are the same. If not google the part no. for your ski, betcha somebody's got it.

Another option, a buddy of mine had a ski with a shock, seems to me he took the shock to an auto supply, a major one like Car Quest or NAPA, they matched it up to a strut boot, I really can't remember exactly, but I think one for a BMW.
