My FIRST 97 SEADOO GSX PROJECT.

I just got a pair refinished stock bore 787 cylinder jugs for $145, and they came from a fresh water ski and are sleeved.
 
Removed the fly wheel yesterday, and hope to break down the crank case on Monday, since I'm working this weekend.

I removed the fly wheel and this is what I found underneath it.

Luckily after removing the housing from the block everything looked better.

This is how I removed my pistions using a zip lock bag, but the bearings were caged anyway lol.

Does anyone know what this is and is it supposted to be installed like that, will i need a new one?

Nice of them not to put all the bolts in...very nice.

That snap ring looks pretty beat...i dunno maybe its the angle but it looks pretty corroded.
