I have read a lot of conflicting arguments on how to remove mildew stains. I've read that commercial mildew products aren't so reliable. Others have suggested lighter fluid or bleach. I can't make up my mind on which route to take. Does anyone have any good advice or experience on how to remove mildew from the seat?

I've had some limited success making a paste with oxyclean. Never tried it but Dr Honda says Zippo lighter fluid works. Try both methods in an inconspicuous place first. In my experience the commercial products do nothing.
