MAINT on screen...

How do you know if the MAINT message is for the scheduled maintenance warning, or for something else...

I had MAINT come on screen last year before winterizing, red light was on and limp mode was activated. I charged the battery, started it up the next day and no MAINT... Winterized it, left the battery on a trickle charger all winter and have been trying to trip the code ever since. Haven't had the ski on the water yet but I've hose connected it on the driveway and had it running for 2 - 6 minutes at a time at various throttle levels, and it seems to be starting, idling, and revving normally. I have less than 6 hours on a new wear ring, spark plugs and fully serviced pump. Compression was at 135/135 last season...

Any ideas?

Both my new skis said MAINT just before 10 hrs.

Took to dealer and the reset the lights.

Were they in limp mode as well or did the screen just say MAINT?

There's a procedure to turn off the maint. light, it's in the owner's manual.

Not in my case. But they were brand new so I rode them very politely up to 12 hrs.

I bought them so late in the season it took two seasons to get past the break in hours. LOL

The MAINT light never came back on. Just wondering what that was.

It's just alerting you to a service interval, bought my GTX with 124.6 hrs and sure enough after the first ride it was blinking, checked the meter and it was on 125.0
