98 seadoo speedster, starts up good and while running left motor makes sort of a vibrating gear or bearing sound, I checked the bearings in the impellar housing by switching it out with the other motors housing whitch is fine.

could it be the starter staying engaged?
It is a new core replaced last year hoping its not front or rear seal or something big

Grab a long handles screwdriver, place the metal end on the engine area in question, and the handle part to your ear and listen to it. The screw driver will pick up the sound, amplify it and allow you to locate where it is coming from over the regular engine noise.

think i found the problem..... or what the problem caused...i pulled the starter and checked it out and was climbing out of the boat and kicked open the exhaust valve covers..lol i pulled both of the black plasic covers off exhaust valves and they were melted should i change out the whole valve assembly or just replace the plastic components that had melted... now that i saw that I think that it could have been those valves rattling through the exhaust out the back of the boat and that's why i was thinking it was bearings...

I doubt that is the source of the noise but if the plastic RAVE pistons are melted, you will have to replace the RAVE pistons, the valves, and the housings. They are worn out and allowing hot exhaust gases to get past and melt the pistons.

I noticed a sound to what you described, and it was indeed the exhaust valve, the threads in the black plastic cap stripped and the valved was bouncing around. Cheap easy fix.

yes the threads were stripped out on the pistons, one melted a hole where the spring was, and exhaust was getting in there cause they were filthy, i'm going to go ahead and change out the pistons first and get new valve ass. later in the year cause its pricey. i don't run hard and don't take it out a whole lot so i should be fine for the beginning of the summer. just need to get that noise fixed. I'll keep a close eye on it when i take it out.
