Looking at a new toy

Timne to get a newer seadoo toreplace my 99 GTI.
Ive been looking for a 4 tech boat like a newer GTI or GTX.
With my budget in mind (around $4k) the choices arent to good.

Ive found quite a few newer boats in the $6k region and missed oout on one s weet deal for a 05 GTX for $4k

So I found 2 boats im considering...

1) local boat 2002 GTX Imaculate 185hrs $3,800 one owner guy says no problems. comes with a trailer

2) 3 hrs away 2005 GTX at a dealer with a replaced processor showing 16hrs but dealer says it has more like 60 hrs it is at a seadoo dealer $4,000 with out a trailer.

I figure that the longer I wait the more expensive these boats are going to be.

Give me your thoughts.

I remember seeing someone on the boards saying that the cheapest time to buy is around March or so... but that might just be from dealers. Maybe whoever said that could chime in (I think it was the good Doctor?)

185 hours... ehhhh....

Look around a bit more using CL and some other classified sites. I glanced thru the classys of another forum and saw an 05 RXP with 70 hours for 4000 obo (no trailer)... and thats supercharged, newer, less hours, etc.

You still have time, summer is still far away... i wouldn't rush it

I want to stay away from the Supercharged boats as I already have a RXP-X... this new one will be for the Wifey. she cruises slower and we will use her boat for the storage

I will hold out a bit longer.

Found a 04 GTX under 50hrs $3500 w/ Trailer and cover. It is in Houston and Im in OKC. We agreed to meet in Dallas 3hrs away.

He says it is a great boat but the seats could be re done due to fading.

Well Scratch taht-the guy told me he is going to sell it to someone locally rather than drive to meet me.

Picked up a 2006 GTI SE 4Tec. $4,500 it came with the trailer, nearly new cover and 1 life jacket

She needed a bath but that was easy

Now I need to sell the double Shorelander trailer that came with it.

This GTI only has 34hrs on it. After I cleaned her up it looked great. However this is not my ski. This is the wifeys ski

I still have my toy

The new GTI is replacing my 99GTI Which I will hopefully sell this double trailer and buy a single trailer and sell the 99 in March or April when Demand is high.
