Little help from the gurus

Seems pretty steep to me. $4000 would be closer to right.

Thanks for the reply. How about the models? Any known problems? They seem like good machines but I don't know S*&t about these things or the history of the various models.

Well he doesn’t know what he is talking about as seadoo never made 1100’s. The dark green one is a 951cc fuel injected two stroke in the heaviest hull they made and is probably the most unreliable and expensive to fix model seadoo ever made. The other one is a 720cc base model two stroke. It is reliable but tops out at 45mph.

Either way he is smoking crack on the price. I wouldn’t pay more than $4500 but would be too busy running away from the Direct Injected GTX.

Also there's that. The 720 is dirt reliable. The 951 is... less reliable, but some guys swear by them. They're faster, but you gotta like wrenching on your boats. At any rate, look around at what those same models cost individually. It's way less than what he's asking. 4500 seems steep to me, but maybe it's a super nice trailer. If it were me 4k would be the absolute max on this package.

The 951 isn’t inherently bad but needs much more attention than any other seadoo. That being said the Direct Injected one in the add is even worse. They are great when running but very hard to diagnose and expensive to fix when they aren’t.

All i can say is that riding those models is like riding a limo in the water they are slow not agile at all turn like a battleship fkn boring as fk

If you really like the looks of that green GTX (the one with the 951) you can find plenty of that exact ski with the 4 stroke 155 or supercharged engines ranging from 185 hp to 255 hp. That same hull was also used for the performance-oriented RXT. However for the reliability factor and simplicity you can't beat the 155 as a 4 stroke. 155 horses propel that craft to about 55-56 mph.

Nice! Appreciate that. Any specific years better than others?
