Jet pump

Hi everyone! New to the forum and just wanted your thoughts on jet pump repair. Found wear ring in pieces and pulled pump to replace. Waiting on impeller removal tool and wear rind and main seal but noticed that shaft has back and forth play in it. Not sure if this is normal or bearing will need replaced. Any suggestions.

My advice is to download the factory service manual and read up on the jet pump section to get all the smut on the jet pump specs to get a long lasting rebuild.

I like to put the new wear ring in the freezer for a day, makes insertion easier.
