Islandia Issues

I recently put a second battery in my Islandia and was wondering how to get the Gaurdian to monitor the second battery. The where 2 wires connected to the battery pole on the old battery switch. One is obviously the positive from the battery. Is the second one for the monitoring? If so if I where to put it on the post for the output instead wouldn't it monitor which ever battery is selected?

Secondly every time I put fuel in the boat is spurts out when the tank gets filled. My vent is working fine. I can feel the air comming out as the tanks fills. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix it?
