Oh she trying. ..same as before. ..almost there but doesn't catch. Always flashing 12v low despite numerous good batteries rotated in

I've had 2 97 GTX's over the years and both flashed 12v low and then went away a few seconds after running. Did
it the entire time I had them and with brand new batteries so I wouldn't worry abut that.

It seems that *something* you did yesterday worked but how do you track that back lol you did so much...maybe a snarf of fuel down the cylinder? that might tell you if you're back at a spark issue.

Disconnect the plug on the front of the engine and look at that !

See if a socket in the plug is pushed back just a bit.

Plug it back in and see what happens.

I've been thinking of using a second SLA battery in the front E-box that supplies power to the mpem only when starting and charges with the regular charging system just for this type of thing.

Don't know if it matters but when I try to crank everytime the clock resets to 12:00

Signs of a dead battery!
Cranks but doesn't have the power when under load.

Try checking the voltage at the mpem while your cranking

Check from ground to the red wire going into the mpem, then crank

then try checking from the RED/ PUrple wire to ground.

The first one is power comming directly from the battery.

The second one is power comming out of the mpem going to all the accessories.

What points to put meter on?

At the battery while cranking. Then move positive to hot side of solenoid while cranking. Then move it to output side of solenoid while cranking and then to positive terminal on starter while cranking.

Post all your results.

From way back we did this test and it had 11.8 at the battery and solenoid while cranking.

I'm thinking its somewhere upstream that we have a problem.

But this test would tell us if your battery is still good! so its worth doing as well.

yup thats right

Yeah that's more than enough.

This time try from the bat POS to the black wire in there.

It could be the mpem is getting a bad ground,
