Plan on doing another video tmrw in the daytime. Also going to pick up more plugs. Maybe the W.D. is killing my spark.

Just something you guys should know...checking spark by having plugs out and earthed to metal may show a bright blue spark...but under compression that is not the correct way to test for spark....best way is to put high tension lead on a screwdriver and hold it aprox 6mm from metal earth...if it jumps that and is bright blue it will work under compression...if it doesnt then the spark is too weak to fire when compression is there....

This a paper towel over cylinders. Mainly clear liquid mist smells like W.D

It would fire just fine with that.... WD is flammable, the problem has to lie within your spark plugs not getting any spark to them... What motor is in your GTI?

The xp rear box can swap over. Not sure about the gti but id say it could..
Have to check the manual for the gti wiring diagram and compare to the gtx

That's what I was thinking, are you having the same thoughts as I? I'm 99% sure this isn't a fouling plugs issue, but a no spark issue at this point...

Any way we can get a live feed over to fokker's garage? Were burning up alot of pages here?

Ok...so leave a set of plugs in motor...stick set in boots and touch to head to see blue spark, right

Yup dedinitly think its a lack of spark.
And yes that's how I would check for spark.

You can leave plugs out/in doesnt matter...as long as spark jumps 6mm or more (bright blue) spark is good...if it doesnt or spark is dull red or yellow you have ignition problems

I have yet to see a spark....just puzzles. Me because ski was running fine on water hose...then hydrolock...now all of sudden no spark

Well I double checked versus the gti on boot looking for blue spark against head...that one has it fine. So I'm getting no spark from gtx ebox. What do I need to replace...cdi?
