Hull I.D. Location on a 2004 Sea-Doo Bombardier

Hi, i'm in the market to pick up a 2004 Bombardier 782cc. I went to look at one yesterday but we (me, and the owner) could not locate the Hull number, I figured it would be on the back below the step but it wasn't. could anyone help? and also any good tips for what to look for when purchasing a used '04 Sea Doo Gti Le Rfi? Thanks- Ben
