How to replace Choke Cable

I have a 1996 XP with dual carbs. I need to replace the Choke Cable, but I'm not sure what I need to do to take the cable off of the carbs. Is there a special tool I need? Looks like something pressed into the holes to keep the cable in place. Thx, Calvin

Small allen key on the side where the stiff rod goes between the choke blade rocker gizmos.

There is a nut behind consol at the T-handle, then it pushes into hull thru the opening when its oriented, diagonally. On the carb large pulley wheel is a slot just bigger than the wire cable, the barrel then will exit it (the wheel). Bills86e
