you can tow slow at approx 5mph and do nothing

if you want to tow at speed, then you need to clamp off the inlet cooling line to block water from coming into the engine.

I went the cheap/practical route and bought a set of these from harbor freight. (fluid line clamps) but in a pinch, vice grips, or just pulling the line and stuffing a spark plug inside has worked from the shoreline when your in a bind.

as far as the actual tow. hook a rope up and drag er along :) but don't use a short rope, 30-50 better keep it between the wake and your good to go, the bigger the tow ski the better :)

what i did is the clamps, post 2 (cause i have like 3 sets of em in tool box threw the years) but, what im thinking of doing is take a fitting, same size as the ports on the head, and take both supply and outlet lines and hook together, (like you would bypass a leakin heater core till you fix it) -- would take like 1 minute to install

Hey this could be my problem, I towed my new Limited at high speed before storing her for season. Just took her out for first time this year and had problems getting RPM's up from a stop. After a few days, would not start.
Thanks,

you have a 2011... which I believe has a closed loop cooling system, however I do not know about that, you may want to check the 4-stroke section of this forum.

What year and model ski do you have? Let me know and I'll show you on the parts diagram.

Lou

On the 717 its the hose furthest to airbox.
Parallel to the hose with flushing fitting.
Should be same on 787
