How can I remove stripped screw from my carb? Pics attached!

Does anyone know how I can remove this screw that is stripped? Tried needle nose pliers and it didn't work. Its a very cramped space. usually use a dremel tool for stripped screws but can't get to it.

That one sucks.

You could tig weld a shaft on it... but that may melt the carb

you could try to drill the head off... but since I'm seeing rust... I don't know if you will get the rest of the screw out of the hole.

That is only a 3mm screw... so I would get a small (3/32") left handed drill, and hope that it will grab, and roll the screw out.

Another way is soak in Blaster for a day, If you have a hard time removing the valve body screws or cover screws, a good thing to have is an impact driver available at Harbor Freight or other tool suppliers. One or two whacks with the hammer and that stubborn fastener is loose! I even have used it to get stubborn low and high speed needles out!

I have a '95 XP mag carb, $50 shipped if ya nees it. Betting you'll get it out tho.

Thanks guys! Ill try those things and if they don't work i'll get that carb from you bill. I have a dremel tool and i may can wear down a grinding wheel small enough to get in there to grind a line in there and maybe a flat head screw driver will get in there but not sure it will still be small enough to get in there.

You'll be amazed.
Just fill to the rim with PB and leave it over night.
Find a good phillips and a tap it with a hammer.
Then fingers crossed.

BP Blaster. You can buy it at ANY auto part store. A penetrant aid spray used in screw & nut removal.

I had that same problem a week ago and i put it in a vice and got a chisel and hammer and made my own grooves

Man you are taking this problem way too well!!! When I did this I pulled a hissy .. WAPITFn'A it is ... go with PB worked for me ... respect goes to you on the patience!

I just did one like that last week for a friend. I drilled the head off releasing the tension and used a jewelers screwdriver to catch the edge and turn it out.

Mine came right out once the head was off...

notch the head of the screw with a dremel tool so it can accept a flat head screw driver, poor a little alcohol on the screw, and heat it up with a soldering iron, the soldering iron will heat the screw and burn off the rust on the inside to loosen it up. did this many times on medical equipment repairs when the screws were striped "tighten the screw a little before loosening it.

I would put a drop on the screw then heat up the screw, it would dissolve the corrosion
