Hole inside of hull, RXP

Hi everyone!

New to this forum, been finding loads of good info here recently, as I have just bought a 2005 RXP. Tought it was time to register, as I have a question for you guys.

I bought the RXP knowing it needed some work. The carbon seal had failed, filling the enginebay with water.
Ordered all new seals and bearings for the driveshaft. So far so good.

Engine oil is milky, so I am flushing it out with new oil and filter. Not sure where water might have entered the engine, guessing driveshaft hole, as the bearing was bad. No water in SC, but moist inside intake hose (connected to SC).

Question 1) I found a hole in the hull, inside the engine bay! On the left hand side, below the exhaust manifold, aprox 20 cm behind the oilfiller. See picture.
Are there any fixing-points in this area, that might have been ripped off somehow? (I found a bolt in the same area) What could have made this hole? No damage on the outside, the hole seem to go into a foam-filled "room".

Question 2) When towing in "high" speed, I am not sure what hose I need to pinch/block off. Is it the big one with a red marking in the picture? The manual had an even worse picture than me.

Any input would be helpfull.

Thanks!

I guess my english is rubbish then...:P

I think I will fiberglass the hole, and get some epoxy on top to stop it sucking water.

Sorry. Your English is fine. I can't see the pics though on this phone. Will post up a description of the hose to pinch off later this evening.

Can you post up a pic of the exterior side of the hole?

The hose with the red tape on it...follow it to your intercooler...which will then run to your exhaust manifold ect.

Thanks alot, good to be 100% sure if I need a tow!

A bit more worried about this hole in the fiberglass. What could make a hole inside of the hull, in the side, almost below the engine?? No damage on the outside.
Cant see there is anything that should be mounted on that spot and being ripped of either?

(My camera needs upgrading, I know)

I downloaded your pictures and tried to enhance them without any decent results. It ALMOST looks like a factory void in the fiberglass but I can't be sure without better pictures. There aren't any engine or other mounts in that area that I'm aware of.
