Problem #1

When in idle it will make a knocking sound and die after 1-2 seconds. If I hold the throttle just a tick above idle it sounds great.

Problem #2

When I pull the throttle all the way down it seems like it has a little delay, maybe half a second to a second. Once it bites it moves good (scary fast, I'm guessing 60mph).

Problem #3

This seems minor but sometimes when I change speeds or move a little bit the safety key (key that goes over the red button) just comes off.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Also, is there a Yamaha board similar to this one, I also have a '94 waverunner III.

Not sure about the knock...is the idle too low?

You have to determine if you have a bog (too much low speed screw) or a hesitation (not enough low speed screw).

You can wrap a ziptie around the key, but you would be better off buying a cheap aftermarket one.

Minnetonka,

Are you asking me if the idle is too low because I have no idea?

Also do I need to determine if I have a bog or hesitation and if so how do I do that?

Thanks
