Hi all.I was hoping someone may have a link or anything,to help me find an old newspaper article. The copy of the newspaper that I have, got wet and it is now stuffed.I have spent hours trying to find it,but nothing.Nudda.zip.
The paper is "The Galveston Daily News" and the date of it is 25/9/1993.It also had on it Vol.151 No.167(i think)
The reason for wanting it is I was with a boat crew from Australia and we were on the front page.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

Hi Sink(good name for a boat owner:)
Yeh.I tried the newspaper twice with emails but got no reply.I have also spent a lot of time trying to find an archive page but keep getting a blank or redirected to other sites.
I will keep trying but I was hoping someone may have had a site that they knew of.
Thankyou for your reply

If 7 dollars will do it, probably worth every penny.

I would not be surprised if the had an original as well...

Good luck to you.

Thanks Coastiejoe
I have just been on that site.Looks like the way to go.An original would be veeeeeery nice.
For such a big event there is not a lot of info on it.It was called The Red Adair Offshore Blowout.First time it was held there. We were looked after by some of the nicest people you would ever care to meet. The hospitality was unbelievable.Everyone was so friendly and wanted to have a talk and a beer with us.Haha.So we did..
It was one of those remember forever times.Hence the reason for me chasing this up.
(we even got to hang out a bit with Red Adair and a legend called Tom Gentry over a few beers)

Yep.Gave that a go but had to have a library membership.Bit out of my neigbourhood.I am in Queensland Australia.
I do however, thank you for still thinking about it

Hey BigJake
Now that name rings a bell.Freezeframe.I'am sure they did promo's with some footage and shots of the race and boats to the song'Freezeframe".
I will chase that lead down. Thank you very much
