Hey.

Lets assume both the packages are identical and in the same condition. Both are priced at $6300. Am I better off with an older model with lower hours or the newer with higher hours?

These are the options.

2002 GTX 155hp with 120 hours.

2006 GTI-SE 130hp with 290 hours.

Thoughts?

Where did u find that expensive sea doo, I sold last summer 2005 sea doo RXT 215 Hp for 6500& with 54hr on it. If u a beginner can buy sone like this sea doo 155 or 130 Hp. But this is no a jet ski , jet ski is when have supercharger! Start from 185-215-255-260 Hp. This is a jet ski, the other are only mopeds on water. There is no fun with this ski. Look for some RXT RXP GTX 2004-2007 supercharged on eBay You can find some for the same price .

Pretty sure a jetski is not a supercharged seadoo.

Keep in mind pricing varies geogrphically. That is an average price locally.

They are 100% not supercharge. Try buy some with SC , and u will be happy. If u like jump om water , some extreme sport and fast RXP that 2 seater shorter then RXT,or I u like nice smood no to much jumps also fast RXT 3 seat , but RXT-X 255 or 260 that is machine so nice , so fast. Good lock . Have some fun.

That is way to high for those pwc u listed. U should be able to buy 2007 models for 5800-7200 dollars please shop around.

I would shop around more too. Those prices are overpriced even considering the exchange rate between our currencies, at least for my area, but as you said it varies from place to place.

Also, don't listen to artur3910's rant on "you must have a supercharger model". Do a little research on the different models and target the ones that fit best for you. Know what maintenance costs you are up against as well, and make sure it is going to fit your budget. The engines in the non-supercharger 4 strokes are known to last for a long time if properly cared for. The newer supercharger models will give you quicker acceleration and top speeds limited at around 68-70 mph, but also increased maintenance costs and they typically shorten the engines lifespan.

The two machines you mentioned: the GTX will top out around 60 MPH and the GTI will get close to 55mph. The hours are less important than how their owners maintained them.

Regardless of what you buy, take them for a test ride first and question the owner on the maintenance history. It helps to know how they should be maintained first so you know what questions to ask.

Yes yes , what ever u like , for what u will be use for fun and extreme sport, or just to drive on water and how much u want to spend and for how long keep the ski. Every jest ski SC or non SC if u good take care of machine will be good for long time . If u gone drive like craezy u will kill by self engine . I'm just said for ME jet ski wit no SC is no jet ski. Try drive few of what u find and like , seller have to give u a drive his ski just for test. Chose deferend between them and u will se which u like beter. Also ski with SC is less economy in this price of gas ia accept to u .
