New 2017 Kawasaki SX-R

1500cc 4 stroke with 160HP. About as big as an HX weighing in at 551 lbs and it only costs $9,999. But it does 63 mph out of the box. All and all pretty cool but damn it's expensive.

Yeah there was a ton of press on that when it was unveiled at havasu last year. They basically took all existing parts from other machines and threw it together. I think I read they even used the same old 650 hand pole.

It is nice to see the industry still trying. Hopefully Yamaha will answer back. I am still in shock over a $10k standup though.

Answer back? The Superjet has been in production right on through. It's the only new 2-stroke still for sale new, right?

It appears 2017 is the final year for the superjet due to emissions. Rumors are that Yamaha is going to put one of their 3 cylinder 4 strokes in a new superjet.
