Hard to start, only with full throttle.

My 1995 SPX takes several cranks to start and will only start with full throttle. Once it starts it runs fine. Do you think low idle needle needs adjusting?

You'd have to pull the carbs to check the Pop-off and leaking needles.

Thanks @etemplet . One of the needles was leaking, adjusted pop-off plate and working now. Sweet, back to the water.

I have 25X magnifying glasses and if I see any kind of indention on the needle they get tossed. I replace needles and seats but i'm sure wondering if the seats I replace are bad but for the money I don't want the issues. Ha ha. Glad you got it going !!

You are right, I might end up changing needles and seats, I'm still not happy with the current ones. They are old and don't perform well.
