Gtx 4tec pump???

Hey all. Have an 03 gtx4tec sc. Went to change the wear ring and found i have a plastic pump housing. (The part that the wear ring and impeller is in) i have been told i can swap with a 04 or later ALUMINUM housing. Also not positive about diameter of housing (I belive 185mm) but would changing to larger diameter (215mm) be worth it or even possible? Or a different aftermarket housing? Any information would be great on these possible options

I would stick to a plastic oem wear ring. I don't think you'll get much more performance out of an aluminum wear ring.

Please read again clmboating..... the pump housing is plastic and iv been told i need to upgrade to metal.... the wear ring should be plastic and the impeller should be stainless

If i do not come off polite im sorry that is not the intention. Also i am the OP and you clearly didnot understand what i was saying because i am talking about getting a pump housing (the body or frame that everything fits into) you were talking about a metal wear ring. 2 different parts. Thank you tho for your attempt to help. Regardless if im polite or not (anyone can take anything the wrong way) when someone brings to your attention that you clearly miss read their post and explains what you missed dont be mad at them and call them rude. I didn't remove YOUR text, I removed Climboating text. And yes, I FULLY understood what you were saying. You were not referring to the wear ring itself, but the unit the wear ring fits within. Yes?
In my text I stated I understood what the OP was saying. So, what am I missing here? To be clear, I did not say not imply that you were rude, were taken as rude, or edited your text in any way. I defended what you said. Why would you suggest I didn't understand?

If Minn doesn't have a used one and you want to buy a new SBT one that includes everything(housing, shaft, bearings, seals, wear ring all assembled), shoot me a PM. All you will have to do is put your impeller and nozzle on and go. I can give a pretty good discount. I've installed quite a few of these and everybody has been very happy.
