07 GTX 155-need opinions before buying

I've spent some time bouncing back and forth on the idea of getting early 2000s 2 strokes or a slightly newer 4-tec. I think im well versed on 2 strokes but don't know what to look for on a 4 stroke. I'm planning to look at an 07 gtx 155 with 140 hours. Looks to be in excellent condition with the exception of some larger-than-normal rash on the hood. "New wear ring, impeller, pump assembly". What should I look for when checking it out?

No better test than riding it on the water. You'll find out quickly if the jet pump was assembled correctly. Ask for maintenance records. It's not how old these skis are ... it's how well they are cared for.
