Gti 130 Limp Home Message when first turned on

Hi Everyone

When I first press the start button to wake the ski up I get the 'welcome aboard seadoo' message followed be 'limp home mode'. The message only flashes across the screen once the first time the button has been pressed to wake the ski up.
If I press the button again when the screen has gone blank I don't get the 'limp home' message until the ski has sat for a few minutes.
The ski rides and functions just as it should.

Any ideas what's wrong?

Forgot to say it's got a new battery and the terminals are nice and tight.
