GSX RFI "OIL LOW" message

I'm getting an oil low message on my info center gauge even though the tank is full. Also when you attach the dess key there is no beep. Do you think it's just the sending unit in the tank and is it safe to run it.

Won't effect the engine just make sure you keep an eye on it so it doesn't run out. Your sending unit or wiring is most likely the culprit. Unplug it and jump the wires in the plug. If the light goes out then its your sending unit. With the oil light on do you get the occasional long beep? If not your buzzer is probably shot and that's why your not getting the beep when you install the dess key

I haven't run it so don't know about the beep. I'll jump it now and see if the warning goes off.

Re: no beep. The buzzer has probably gone bad, they do all the time. You can get a replacement at Radio Shack for about $8.00.
