Hi im new to this so bear with mw!! I have a 1999 seadoo gsx limited. I had her out last weekend running fine.. Then i noticed it was a bit flat on the throttle.. I came home and removed the rave valves. They were absolutley covered in gunk... i cleaned them off and took ski out today and she ran like brand new for the majority. only the last half hour i noticed the same thing.. Rave valves gooey again.. Any ideas?!

Check the oil injection cable, if it is broken the oil pump will default at "full" open. This will cause excess oil to be dumped into the system when not WOT and clog the Raves as well. XPS full synthetic should not clog the valves like that when all is working well.

What he said...sounds like exactly the issue from how you described your problem.

Hi thank u all, they are gooed up with a thick substance,.. forgot to mention it has only started playing up since towing a friends ski who broke down on the water... i will check the oil injection line.. (once i find it!)

Total PITA...it under the pipe on the front of the motor. Your gonna need a really small hand if it did pop off.

Putting it back on is easy, its reaching down there to do it that is the hard part, if your having a hard time seeing the cable try using a mirror.

Pull glove box out and reach in that way. I find that the easiest, if you are lucky enough to have long arms. But at least you can see it that way.

Yup the motor is shoehorned in the GSXL. Hopefully you can find a 12yr old that can get their arm in there.

But...thats only if you see something wrong. A shop mirror is a must.
