I bought a 1999 GTX Limited and noticed that the MPEM/Ignition Coil cover was loose... There are two "clips" on the back side and one on the front. For the life of me... I can NOT get that cover to snap in place. Maybe it doesn't need to?? I can't imagine that a loose fit will keep water out? It simply lifts off with no effort. Think I can just bunjee cord it in place?

Maybe it normal, but it sure seems suspicious.... anybody else have this problem?? Thanks in advance!!

Take the cover completely off, and make sure the rubber seal is on straight. If its flipped, or out of it's track... you wont get the cover closed.

Got it..... Not what you would expect. The lid has a recess in it that looks like the gasket slips into. This is not the case. The gasket is not a part of the lid at all. The gasket wraps around the top of the coil system box and the lid simply closes on top of it. The last person who owned the seadoo must have botched this whole thing up. Amazing what you can figure out if you just stare at it for awhile....

That was going to be my suggestion. I see that a lot on customer's Sea-Doos. Only difference, you were smart enough to figure it out.
