Well guys, I am sad to report that I am going to be hopping off the forum for a time. I have traded off my Speedster for a Bass boat, it was a hard decision, ultimately it boiled down to not being able to fish out of the speedster. My buddy has a Sugar Sand Tango 4+2, we figured between the two of us we needed a bass boat to fish, and we can use his tango when its time for fun. I loved the jet boat, and will miss its blistering performance. I am still planning on getting a Challenger next winter so I wont be gone for long. Cant wait to talk to yall again when I pull home the Challenger.

Know the feeling...

Man, I know the feeling. I found out really quick, there was no real decent place for me to mount my trolling motor, without messing up the hull. The jet boats are not the ideal boat to use as a fishing boat.

I live in the best of a few worlds when it comes to the water. My property is on a brackish water canal, on Dog river, where the channel isn't so wide, maybe 30 or 40 feet in most areas. So, when I find a good spot, I drop anchors fore and aft and fish for bream. A bass boat it is not.

Then, when I want to go out in the Bay or Gulf of Mexico and fish for Spanish or King, I have to drop anchor too. Problem is the seas. If I anchor in 2 or 3 foot seas, water comes over the bow. So, I totally understand, it is not the best boat for fishing in...........

Hopefully, you'll be back next year!............
