Just replaced the impeller and wear ring, took her out to see if I could achieve the 72mph I can get from her sister and as I was ideling out to open water I ran over a rock or something under the surface I didn't see.
A thump and bump and buck. Pulled her back out and found the following;(see Pic's) Probably 2 or 3 skins deep, is 3/4's of a dollar bill in total.
Sanded w/80grit, luckily, there is a West Marine shop reasonably near so I picked up a West systems Epoxy repair kit and West marine Gelcoat repair kit today.
I'll post the progress.
