I'm the proud owner now of two 94 GTS ski's, after doing some reading I've pretty much come the the conclusion that I'm going to need to replace the gray fuel lines. Does any one know how much line I'll need and what size I need to get. Secondly how does one get the OEM clamps off?

Thanks for the help,

Kelly

I personally havent done it, but a quick search turns up this answer from Seadooya.

15-17ft of 5/16in and 5ft of 1/4in

Yo Fost, thats for the 951 motors....

You'll need, for both skis, total of 25-30 ft, of 1/4in, along with a crap-load of new s.s. clamps.

OEM clamp removal

The OEM clamps aren't too tough to get off. I was able to slip a few off with a slight tug on the line (I think these were on the vent lines). Others I had to pry an edge up with a screwdriver until I could grab it with pliers and pull it open. It goes pretty quick once you get started.

i would pry all the clamps off instead of trying to slide them over the nozzle. don't know if its a big issue but couldn't hurt

I figured that I'd have to pry the crazy things off. Just was hoping there was a easy way to get them off out side of purchasing the tool. I guy I work with mentioned using wire to secure the fuel lines with. He used that method with his ultralight plane. It sounds like a great idea but I don't really think that stainless steel wire is readily available.

Thats what i get for trying to help in the ski section. Good thing you got it covered. :hurray:

you don't need to purchase a tool, wire cutters or snips can work...and you'll get really good at it when you're down to the last 2

I do not want to hi-jack this thread, but was is the size and length of new tubbing that I would need to do my 1996 XP????

:boxing_smiley:
