That $800 will turn into $2,200 real fast. New tire, maybe rebuild carbs/new fuel baffle, replace VTS unit, replace oil tank when it leaks at the seam, pump bracket, new fuel lines.
This is a "beach" to work on.

This is a "beach" to work on.
It still looks like a decent deal worth looking at in person if somebody was close, overall it looks pretty dam rough. carbs are a given, fuel lines as well, the rest of the stuff is a "maybe". your pump bracket issues were not that common of a problem at least that i'm aware of. VTS is always a hit/miss type thing. Given the overall condition of the hull, I'd probably be low-balling the guy a little bit... then see if the hull responds to wet sanding before giving up on it, I'd hate to part out a 99 gsx, Its one of my favorite hulls overall, a great combination of looks, speed and maneuverability.

What will you do with an empty boat hull once all is sold or taken out?
I have taken it in to the garbage place that all the trucks go before and they weight you in and out. It was over $50 just in dump fees.
These days I use craigslist to find people willing to haul it and dispose of it responsibly. I paid $100 for the last one but it was a bigger, heavier hull half full of stail fuel and picked clean as a whistle. I had another guy lined up if the first boys didn't show.
Ski hulls I pay $20 each and my tree service employees will take them for some mid week money.

I called on the trailer, left a message... thanks...
A buddy of mine picked up this little bugger for me yesterday for $300, i'll grab it from him tomorrow morning and give it a good once over to determine if its restore-able or a part out. Timing couldn't have been better, he was in the area AND was dragging a flat trailer behind him.
