Have a chance to pick this up with trailer for 300$. I don't need another project but this is too tempting. Low compression in 1 cylinder. What do y'all think

Don't see how you could lose on that deal, repair top end and resell for more, or you could part it out for a lot more.

Adam did you pick up that SPX yet? I'll give you six for it if you bring it to me.

This guy landed in my way two days ago. I say in my way cause I'm trying to pass a $1500 XP800 right now. Now he already lowered it to $1300. I had to text some questions over to get the story and see just how low he will go. http://okaloosa.craigslist.org/boa/4533433548.html

I had that XP bookmarked Matt! Lol don't have the room or the funds, but that guy had it posted for 1500 not a day or two ago, I bet he'll keep coming down...scoop it up!

I saw my first X motor in person last weekend.

Short story: crazy world.. So, i'm driving in a residential neighborhood going to pick up a cheap single trailer and on the way in I see a nice double trailer with a 97 GSX on it in some guys front yard. So I stop on the way out and the guy is sitting out front in a lawn chair looking bored, I pull in and say:

Hey... U interested in selling that ski ?

Nope, you don't want it, nothing left inside

no computer, no pump, ?

nothing... its going to the dump tomorrow.

so, we what for a minute I tell him I'm interested in buying a ski, running or not, so he gets this silly grin on his face and says "follow me" so we head behind the fence into his back yard, he has a LEAST 20 ski's parked on trailers, dolly's, stands, sitting on the ground in various states of condition. 10 of them are under tarps, he has at least 3 superjets, complete, a couple of triple pipe polaris ski's, 3 blasters, and a 95xp800 with the original X motor, UMI, sponson's, etc, start's right up. I ask him to put a price on it and he says "nope" not for sale, bought it new.

After a few more minutes of small talk, he now know's i'm a Water Bug so he smiles and says:

"U wanna see my Nice ski's? come around to the garage "

inside his garage he's PACKED with SJ's, freestyle Kawi's, a mint blaster with a 1,000 paint job, and boxes and boxes of parts, spare engines, pumps, at least 20 ebox's, etc... Turns out he built freestyler's back in the day, his wife was world champ back in the 90's (no sh1t!), a total Jet ski junkie dream pile of 2 stroke goodies !!!!

we never did hammer out a deal on anything, since obviously he knew what everything was worth, and didn't want to part with the ski's that I really had interest in, but you can be dam sure I saved his phone # and gave him mine since there will be opportunities for us to do business.

Crazy small world, this little nondescript house on a 1/4 acre lot with easily 30K in inventory scattered around, maybe more.

No just the hood. The 587's and there pumps don't bring much. The only way to win on those is to make a good running and legal ski that brings a grand.

Navarre and the condition of that trailer scream salt turd! The steering is always stiff of locked on those. "Water got into...." there is no fresh water in Navarre. I would avoid that one unless it got real cheap.

On another note I think I drove by your house today. I saw the skis and when I saw the seat on your 96 I knew for sure. That guy on the end of the street is the "ebayer guy" I drop my old hulls off at after I'm done picking at them.

I was hoping it was the whole engine for that price lol I was about to scoop it up!
