First Time Fishing Trip On Challenger (Pics)

Took my Challenger out in the Gulf of Mexico putting in at Galveston Texas and we had an AWESOME day of fishing with AWESOME weather too. Here is the pics from our trip. 8 good size gafftop and three red fish with two of them being 36inch and one 38inch. :hurray:

Looks like a good time

It's great to see others using there sport boats for all things water sports. This year was my first year owning a boat and I got a jet boat for a number of reasons. We have fished off of ours many times.

Great fun and we never let it get too messy. The kids have a blast.
 
Nice! I've taken ours into the Gulf a couple times but haven't fished out there yet. Glad to see you had some success.
 
Trolling for Tuna and Dolphin 7 mile out at Marathon in Fl Keys

The 99 SK has a ski pylon. When removed it makes a great receiver for a rod holder we made up.

Starting at the bottom and working up. All galvanized NPT from Lowe's
1 each 12" long 1 1/2" nipple
1 each 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" bell reducer
1 each 8" long x 1 1/4" pipe nipple
1 each 1 1/4" pipe T
2 each 1 1/4" x 3/4" reducing bushing
2 each 30" long 3/4" pipe nipple
2 each 3/4" pipe cap
under $25
A friend had the rod holders, they are made to attach to 3/4" pipe
used 2 lines to handles to keep assembly from rising or swinging
I have lost the photos but it worked great. We mostly baled Dolphin
