Ive had many years riding various sea doo's and time has come to buy my own.

I live in Ontario, Canada and this is the sea doo i am most interested in.

2006 RXP 215 supercharged, comes with the solo seat and has 58 hours on the machine. Macine is near mint and also included is a 2006 trailer with new led lights from this spring.

The machine new for him was 17,900 and he still owes 9300$ on it.

I am able to get this for $9000 with trailer.

Around here most machine like this (2005-2006) or GTX 215hp go for 7999-$8500 but generally have 80 to 110 hours on them so this makes me think its a real good deal for such low hours and well takin care of.

your thoughts.

thanks in advance Ken

Has the washers in the SC been replaced yet.. They need to be if not done yet...

May be my first post but I am pretty aware that these must be changed at every 80-100 hours and this only has 58 hours on it, Im 100% sure they are fine.

thanks though.

dont think, that was his point.

Doesnt matter the hrs, it depends on the usage of the craft. If hit'n/jump'n waves..etc, then the SC has been put thru a strain, along with the washers. It doesnt take much forthe "ceramic" washers to come apart. Can happen within a few hrs of the new craft.

Your best bet, if purchased, is to kit the RIVA SC washer kit, and either yuo install or dealership, or send the SC out to someone who can. Its a definate must, to change them out, regardless of the hrs on the ski.

Thanks dude, Im super handy with cars having built a 600whp civic (10.8@134) and other fine car's but this will be my first sea doo to own. is there a diy for the washer change you klnow of and alink to the part with its cost :)

thanks Ken

A washer rebuild kit will run about 300.00 and if the washers go out an engine rebuild will be about 3k. You can rebuild the SC yourself and save the money..,,

we're just giving advise/heads up, so you got some ammo in ur pocket, when looking at it, ask'n questions. Take for a test ride, make sure the response is there, rpms are there, no leaks...etc.

If what your saying is true, with the price of those machines being the way they are, and this one, yeah, couple buks more, but the hrs. arent there, then i say, if yuo dig it, and it test out great, then go for it...

Are you quoting in Canadian dollars? If so then you are at .97 to the USD.

In CA I found a 2008 RXT-X at $8500 USD ($8245 CD) with trailer w/ 16 hours. I'm looking to grab a 2007 RTX w/26hrs at $5.8k USD w/o trailer.

Understand that things aren't always equal, so as you say if it is a good price for you in your neck of the woods...its a good deal for U. South of the boarder, it's not a good deal IMHO.

Others are giving a heads up on the washer as it is an additional cost of ownership on the deal. If it was already done in advance, your investment is less by $300 - 700 USD. Might ask the current owner if they did it. Just a friendly suggestion.

Isn't Sea-doo based in Qubec?

Good luck to finding your ski...
