First oil change- 10 hours or within 50 like manual says?

OK, I'm a newb, we just got our 2016 GTI 130's last summer (one is an SE).

I checked the maint sched and it says oil change within first 50 hours. But some of the older posts on here say "10 hour oil change". Did I miss something? (seeing as how we have 22 hours on them...)

I am by no means an expert so hopefully someone who knows more than me will chime in but I got the 2014 GTI 130 SE and did the oil change at 25 hours. My dealer said it used to be at 10 hours but they changed it on the newer models. Again, I would see what others say first but that's what I did and 3 years later I have had no problems. Maybe contact the dealer and see what they say.

Thanks Bren. The more I read the more I think you're correct, I'll call the dealer. My 60 warranty says I have to follow the manual, nothing about the dealer, but I'm interested to see what they say. I bought them in Ocala which is a solid hour or more drive so it's not like a quick trip.
