few updates on my ski and little more help lots of pics

as some of you know i got this set of 96xps, i finally checked compression today on the 1 running one and it ran great the other day and it has 145 in one and abot 148 in the other so i think that is good right? i got the engine out of the other and i got a few more pics of the crack hope sbt dont rape me on that, also i got a few pics of the impellor and all and how bad the wear ring is lol, also a pic of what the skis looked like when i got them and i started taking off all of the graphics and buffing it up to get new graphics....

AND NOW A FEW OF THE SKI SO FAR, STILL ON THE FIRST ONE, BUT REMOVED THE DECALS ON BOTH SIDES AND GETTING ONE SIDE BUFFED UP GOOD, GOING TO ORDER A NEW DECAL IN BLACK BUT CLEANED UP NICE, ALSO GETTING HYDROTURF

That wear ring is CLASSIC. Prob wrecked the motor by rev limiting it till she started moving!

compression should be 160, but those cheap gauges arent real accurate. As long as they are both close you are fine.

nice job on the buffing...on the hood get all the crap off it then heat it up with a heat gun. Its surprising how much color comes back.

On the bar covers I found that soft scrub with bleach works good on this style...but sux on the GTX/GTI/GTS style..they must have used a different compound.

The hydroturf is a MUST. I dont know how anyone can aggresively ride, let alone jump with the stockers. Even with booties.

hell ya it is cleaning up really nice i am happy with its looks so far i am just hoping i am going to be able to get the rest of the thing back together right lol. ya i will def need hydroturf i already drilled out all the rivets and took the old stuff off, do i just fill all that in with silicone. Thanks for the advice on cleaning will def try that, Well i hope that compression is good on the other one it runs great...... last thing is the wear ring hard to change and do i got to pull the impellor out? that old one looks like its stuck on there pretty good
 
I have never tried...always pulled the impeller...but if you can get the old one out I dont see why you couldnt get the new one in w/o taking it off. Trick is to put the ring in the freezer overnight and they usually fall right in.
 
hmm thanks for even more advice, lol does the impellor look okay to keep using? and is there another gasket that goes between the impellor housing and the actual seadoo or is that what the wear ring does too
