I’m having trouble with my sea doo wake pro exhaust overheating and I’ve flushed the hoses and checked everything I could think of. As soon as I start it it won’t move and it over heats in less than a minute. Although it runs fine if I have a hose connected to it. Does anyone have an idea what might be the cause? I was told it could be the impeller and wear ring but they don’t look that bad

On the left side of the pump at the top there is a screen , it looks like a large plastic nut and you can take it out and clean it. Look it up on the parts list at the top of this website page for a description and a general idea of where it is.

Is this what you talking about?
