Hi everyone,
I need help diagnosing an issue with my 2021 Sea-Doo Wake Pro 230 (Rotax 1630). A few days ago, a rope got sucked into the intake from the bow and jammed the impeller. We removed the rope completely and tried to turn the engine by hand, but the driveshaft wouldn’t move at all.
So we removed the jet pump and the impeller assembly entirely, expecting the driveshaft to spin freely—but it’s still completely stuck. We also removed the spark plugs and tried to crank it, but all we hear is a single click from the starter relay. The battery is charged and strong (tested), and the relay appears to be functioning correctly.
There are no fault codes or warning lights on the display—everything looks normal—but the engine won’t turn over and the shaft still won’t rotate by hand.
Has anyone experienced something like this? Could it be internal engine damage (crankshaft or pistons)? Any ideas on what to check next would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
