Excessive Crank Case Pressure

I have a 2003 GTX Supercharged. It starts up and runs fine for about 10 minutes and then I get a long beep and it goes into limp home mode and check engine is displayed. I removed the oil cap while running it and oil shot out everywhere. So I removed the plunger from the TOPS valve. Took it back out to test it today, same issue. I turned the ski off, removed the oil cap and started it back up. Ran it hard for about 40 minutes with no issue. Reinstalled the cap, started it back up and within 5 seconds it went into limp mode again. Has anyone else had this issue in the past?
