Hope to have an engine at my house by the weekend.

97GtxMan1687 it was a pleasure to meet you today, and transact a little business, just got home from the round trip to your house, 1 short stop to eat in Millen, quick stop in Richmond Hill to pick up some groceries and gas. Now all I have to do is decide what to do, build or buy, probably buy and engine with that no fault warranty, makes a lot of sense over me rebuilding. Thanks for your help. Now you need to hurry up and get yours running while there are still a few warm days to try it out. Good luck on your project, that piston in your engine sure looks bad.

It's really hard to beat that no fault warranty. 1 year no fault standard engine shipped to where you are in south Ga would probably be around 950$ or less. I'm getting started on mine next week getting everything aligned, news carbs on, and all the other. It was a pleasure meeting with you and I know you'll have that GTX on the water in no time.

The 96-97 Gtx is the best 3 seat model Seadoo ever made.(IMO) great cruiser, but has some get up and go

Wish you guys were closer! Try a ride on my 2000 gtx 951. Pretty much the fastest ski I have driven. I blew by my friends 2007 GTI 155 4-tec. Mine topped out at 64mph on the dream-o-meter. Haven't been able to check the gps yet, but for a full rebuilt engine, new wear ring, new impeller/oil and colder lake water, I would say it is damn close to 60 mph.

I just love the stability and the way the sponsoons help the handling of the ski, and how it carves into the water, rather than the older skis that just slid across the water! But for reliablility, I would choose the 787. The 951 is like the trophy wife. Enjoy it while it lasts.. lol

Going the SBT route is also the quickest. You will have an engine at your front door in less than 1 week.

That sounds good, probably would take longer than that to order parts and then find out you forgot to order something that you need first.

I've never been on a 951 ski. So I guess my opinion on the 96-97 787 GTX is alittle biased haha
