Draining Intercooler and Exhaust Manifold

Quick Question:

My 2008 GTX 215hp Operator's guide says you can you blow pressurized air (100 psi) through the flushing connector to drain the Intercooler and Exhaust Manifold. This seems easy enough provided I create the right hose to do so.

I'm looking for a quick and easy way to drain the components that are susceptible to freezing as I plan on riding in the winter. There's no such thing as a lake season to me:)

Has anyone else tried this?

It should work in theory, just be sure you get all the water out. If you don't experience any major freezes you should be ok. It might be easier to just pump in antifreeze to mix with the water and be sure the water won't freeze. Use environmental friendly antifreeze so it won't contaminate the lake you run on often, just in case you don't get it all out of the system between storage times.
