Check you wiring in the lanyard. If the lanyard post is shorted out it might start too with it off. If that is the case you might have a short or bad post that needs replacement.

Well... You need to check the wiring and if you don't have a manual it would take for ever for me to explain how to check it...I bought a service manual from my local dealer retails...$125.00 but I bought it for $85.00 cause the forum didn't have it loaded in the library yet, when I bought my seadoo. Most manuals are here for $10.95 for the month. All the mods here volunteer for free to help out. The small amount for a manual pays to keep the lights on. If it doesn't start with the Safety Lanyard on, then it must be in the wiring somewhere. You need to get a seadoo manual to check the wiring diagram.

Yeah, I understand all that. Would it have anything to do with the fact that I have the VTS module disconnected? I dont have money right now, so I disconnected it because it was blowing the fuse. Is there any way to bypass that is that is the problem? Also, the single black with that comes out of the rear electical wasnt connected when I picked it up. Is that a Ground wire. It seems kind of long to go just to the battery. Thanks.
