I have a 99 GTX RFI that stopped running. I took it apart two years ago and figured out the fuel pump was bad.
Kids have been driving me crazy to ride it. Going to the beach later this week. Purchased a new fuel pump off Ebay and I am putting it back together. I have ended up with two extra parts.
One of them is a black hose. It is heavy duty hose that is pretty rigid. It is 16 inches long. The hose diameter is 1/2". But the hole inside diameter is about 1/8". So you can tell it has a lot on insulation. One side has a coil clamp. I have attached a photo. I can not find anywhere that is missing a hose.
My kids appreciate any help at all in identifying where this hose might go. Here is a pic
Here is a 2nd pic of the same hose of the end. You can also see the type of clamp that is on it. It is an unusual clamp. In side the hose on one end it looks brand new like it has not been attached to anything. Not stretched out. The other end the hole inside the hose looks stretched out like it has been attached to something.
Please, please help me identify this hose.
I had removed the fuel tank and took the old fuel pump out. I put the new fuel pump in and attached the air intake to the fuel pump. I attached the big fuel tank hose to the fuel tank. I attached the fuel out line to the fuel pump. I also attached the hose to the oil tank. I can't think of any other hoses that might be necessary. I had also put in a new battery so it is possible the hose is actually from somewhere else in the Sea Doo. What concerns me is that the hose seems major like it has an important purpose.
The other part is another hose. But this is a regular soft hose that is like what you use with a fish tank. It is 20 inches long and the diameter is about 1/8 inch. The hose is very flexible. This hose worries me less. I have attached a picture below.
My experience is these hoses are usually used for air intake or run off. I am less worried about this house.
