not sure if this is the right place, but if you are in indiana (noblesville) it could be worth a look... I know the spx is the 96 xp only with a different name a few other minor differences, so somewhat desirable. If water never made it in the engine could be a fairly cheap winter project?

yea, def. A good deal if it goes for under $500. I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. Prob just needs to be gone through. Does it say if it was submerged in salt?
It's in Indiana, so i would guess no, but who knows. Maybe they dragged it from the coast to sell it for $160...Yea, def. a good deal if it goes for under $500. I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. Prob just needs to be gone through. Does it say if it was submerged in salt?
Being under water for a few days would fill everything. It will enter via carbs and exhaust. You can try to start it, but chances are high that the entire counterbalance cavity is flooded. It's directly connected with the rest of the engine case.

You are definitely lucky. You should play the lottery lolOK, good to know... mine was sitting on the bottom, but it was in 2 feet of water... so maybe 1.5 feet in there? Only in there for about 30-40 minutes until my neighbor got his tractor and lifted it out. Drained it with the plugs, put the plugs in and put it back in the water. Fired right up!
Haha I already bid on this a few days ago. Was watching and sucked to see someone post on here.dont be putting that out there lol im all over this
Lol well I didn't bid much more. To me it's really only worth the hull and title (which is what i need). Engine will be junk, electronics junk, just the hull left really. I was going to try and combine it with the GTI hull the same place is selling as I need parts from that also.thats for sure lol, Ankeneyou so i guess where not friends right now lol, im a little closer than you tho, only about 1hr and 25mins from me
Nice find. It is very clean
Oh the infamous 3 stroke. Those are quite rare........http://baltimore.craigslist.org/boa/5226976547.html
98 seadoo gtx with 951 3 stroke engine. Was last used in 2013 when drive shaft went up, pulled out drive and exhaust to repair but lost interest and bought a new one

Yes, picking it up in the morning. Plan on swapping everything over from a 96 xp which has a good engine/electrical but is pretty rough cosmetically and throttle/steering cables frozen. So did one of you get this?
