It's $150 plus shipping new from SBT. That would be a good deal if you were local or if you could get him to ship it for that.

Yea, def. a good deal if it goes for under $500. I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. Prob just needs to be gone through. Does it say if it was submerged in salt?

It's in Indiana, so i would guess no, but who knows. Maybe they dragged it from the coast to sell it for $160... :) Heck the hull and title is worth 200 if you want to build one of these.

All i know is i had one on the bottom of my lake and all i did is bail it out and start it up. Maybe not the smartest thing but it wasnt running when it sunk, and it the water didn't entirely fill it...

Off topic, but how far up does the water have to be inside before it gets someplace it shouldn't while NOT running... ?

Being under water for a few days would fill everything. It will enter via carbs and exhaust. You can try to start it, but chances are high that the entire counterbalance cavity is flooded. It's directly connected with the rest of the engine case.

OK, good to know... mine was sitting on the bottom, but it was in 2 feet of water... so maybe 1.5 feet in there? Only in there for about 30-40 minutes until my neighbor got his tractor and lifted it out. Drained it with the plugs, put the plugs in and put it back in the water. Fired right up!

Lol well I didn't bid much more. To me it's really only worth the hull and title (which is what i need). Engine will be junk, electronics junk, just the hull left really. I was going to try and combine it with the GTI hull the same place is selling as I need parts from that also.
