I emailed the guy and here his answer.....I asked what mods were done to it to make it 75-80 mph ski & also if if was ever overheated.

I still don't see it faster than about 62....mine tops out at about 55 or so on the dream-o-meter.

I also replied back to him about the "so called" 75-80 mph top speed. i told him about 62-65 at best.
also asked if it was a GPS speed timed or on the dream-o-meter.

That ski would not run 62 with a fresh 951 in it. He has competition now cause I just listed my 96GSX. Mine is just a proper running stock machine and I guarantee it would run all over his.

Either he is a liar or he was filled with all this by some mechanic that was justifying a big bill.

I will 100% buy your ski for the full asking price if it does 80 mph on a GPS. However if it does not, you have to knock of $100 per mph that if falls short of the 80 you have stated it will run. Example: 70mph I will pay $700, 71 $600 etc... But this price can also go negative, so when it runs 55 mph you will have to pay me $800 to take it away. Do we have a deal?

No unfortunately not just had a guy ride next to me well try keeping up but his speedometer worked and was at 65 so we assume about 10mph more

Actually I think it would be $600 at 69 MPH.
Anything under 63 and he pays me..... he's dumb so he might go for it

The engine is a SBT reman and the wear ring is also an SBT. SBT paints all of their 800's silver now and the little silver sticker with the white dot in the middle changes color if the engine gets too hot. That is what he is referring to changing color if it overheats. He is a dumb ass as a SBT engine makes less power than stock and obviously the carbs were not drilled out with bigger injectors. That ski would be lucky to make it to the stock top speed of 55 mph.
