Well Its funny you say there may be a resto coming soon lol, motor has 150 compression in each hole. The beach cart needs new hub hardware,

Motor has never been apart

The hull is faded but no stress cracks, it will need the seat rewrapped too, the vts does not work.

It starts right up, it even had a good battery in it.

I'll give you $500 for the ski without the beach cart!! I can be there in about 2.5 hours

Yup, I was worried I wouldnt get it after it was posted in this thread, so I left earlier than I originaly was going to. The meet up time was 11am but I got there at 9. Wasnt letting this slip through our hands. This is number 3 for us on the 99spx's. I may have messed up one of the tires on the beach cart, I used a powerful degreaser on the tire and it now is swollen. I washed it with soap and water and left it in the sun, I hope it shrinks back.

The guy said his phone was ringing off the hook.

Craigslist in my area has a high price virus right now. Honestly, it just cracks me up how people looking to sell their PWC's (or other things) use current CL listings as a market indicator. They see a few similar machines overpriced & use that number for their asking price. There are several 10+ year old machines here that are listed at crazy prices. Just saw another one this morning. $3700 for a 2003 720cc GTI that shows its age. IF nothing else, it makes retail priced skis look like a bargain I suppose. ;)

What I cant get is how there are so many skis out there listed as the wrong year or wrong model. Or even the wrong brand. "I got this thing that floats in the water. I think it is a jet-sky bombadoo, great condition, just needs a motor."

Exactly. I am far from an expert, but when I can look at the photo and read the model, you would think the owner could do the same.

He would probably fetch that price here in KC. Around here it's not too overpriced. Although I think it is by $1,000

The red cable and the center pad is what gave it away for me. And I had a hunch that the guy couldnt be thattttt dumb to put two completely different adds for the same quad. Why he doesnt sell them as a pair though is beyond me.

My 6 year old son is very interested in boats and jet skis. He has started watching me look at craigslist. Over the weekend he grabbed my phone and was shopping for boats, with in the first couple minutes of looking at ads he said:

-Why is this guy only asking $1 for this boat? (no price, guy just put "1" in the price section - one of the many things that sellers do that annoy me)

-The registration on this jet ski expired in 2012, you can't ride it now.

-Why did this guy only put up one picture of his boat?

Welcome to craigslist kid! HA!

I hate people that on put $1 on the price or nothing at all. I skip right over those ads. Sketchy right from the beginning. Just like people who put all kinds of info on their car but neglect to put the mileage...
